During Covid19 an interesting collaboration developed between BGU, Changzhou University (CZU) and the China-Israel Changzhou Innovation Park, involving remote teaching in mechatronics engineering. Finally, after 3 years of Zoom talks and small numbers of students in exhange, Prof. Shuling XU from CZU arrived physically and spent a week with professors from BGU's faculty of engineering sciences with the aim to develop a Joint Masters' Program.
The team led by Professor Avi Levy, Dean of Engineering Sciences included Prof. Yaniv Gelbstein soon to be dean. Prof. Oren Sadot, incoming head of the department of Mechanical Engineering, Prof. Gennady Ziskind, outgoing head, Prof. Amir Shapiro, Head of the masters program in Mechatronics Engineering, and others. Students from CZU that are currently studying at BGU came to greet Prof. XU and expressed their thanks to Jill and Meital that took care of the administrative aspects of the visit. A general MOU was signed, declaring the joint plans.
